You can get to the first button in 2 steps (and 2 portals) on the 360, but it took me a bunch of tries to get it. Coming out of a portal on the floor and then landing (by shooting the floor portal to the ceiling/wall) won’t count as a step. That’s helped me a lot.

steps go a lot further on PC don’t they, cuz it takes me 4 steps to get out of the elevator on the 360
